Vesper has scoliosis. It’s congenital, so every Conchita has had it (due to them all being direct clones). The Flesh-Familie cult forced her to wear symmetrical corsets in an attempt to reshape her body to look symmetrical, but these corsets didn’t fit right and worsened her back pain. The first time she got fitted for a custom asymmetrical corset that matched her spinal curvature, she cried tears of joy.
