lesbocannibalGood evening, my Batty Beauties. From Venus, the Lady of the Meats, a happy Friday to you all. She has created a Dreamwidth journal due to the possibility of her beloved Tumblr shutting down. The Lobotomized Angel has some ground rules and boundaries to share with you all. Since this is gore own Book of Shadows, and gore can do whatever gore wants under the loathsome rule of the vampyre's enemy (the Sun), gore will be using a multitude of names, pronouns, and titles for goreself & will be speaking in third-person. (As an aside, she of the rising water highly recommends Rentry as an alternative to Carrd. Not only is it entirely free, it is anonymous and does not require you to place your email in the hands of potentially-nefarious Internet fae. This is, of course, irregardless of gore actual stance, being that no one should be required to create a list of her age, mental illnesses, identities, triggers, race, location, opinions on discourse, or anything else of that nature!
It may be easy to tell that the consuming lover is nostalgic for a time long-gone, which she never truly experienced in the first place, being too young. She misses the old days of fandom, before these arbitrary debates about certain fictional content--you know exactly which ones she is speaking of! Yes, some aspects of modern fandom have their advantages: for example, reading Utena fanfiction on the old fanfiction repository available on Empty Movement was very difficult for her, since it had no summaries or content warnings. Archive Of Our Own is a wonderful website and she hopes to see it continue on for ever. But overall, she misses when fandom was actually fun, and not an overwhelming garbage fire filled with vitrolic discourse and call-outs!
She steadfastly refuses to use modern social media such as TikTok, Twitter, or Instagram. Tumblr was previously the best place for her, but it was still... too much like social media. And she is not technology-literate enough to start a Neocities! It is still in progress and has been in progress for too long. Ergo, Dreamwidth, with its customizable journal entries and space for long-form writing and thoughts, seemed like a good fit for her.)
That was a long aside, have you forgotten it was an aside, dear reader? Anyway, here is the gist: Carmilla wants to be able to use this journal for her own diaristic thoughts (to look back on, in future years) and as well as for her writing. She will likely focus on Spy vs. Spy and Yandere Simulator (obligatory disclaimer, she does not support the Dev, he is a sack of shit and she hopes he dies in a fire) art for now, but she is known to have a bit of a squirrelistic tendency to chase random nuts at random times. In addition, she has many Original Characters, some of which are involved in self-ships with canon characters or inserts into canon universes. You may see some of that here!
